Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has revealed that the Spanish club have not received any official offers from Manchester United for Alvaro Morata or any other players this summer.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a bid to sign the Spain international in recent days but there has not yet been an announcement from either club.
The move would make sense, as Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is thought to be keen on bolstering his attacking options at Old Trafford ahead of his second season in charge.
However, the Real Madrid chief has now poured cold water on reports linking Manchester United with a move for Morata by insisting that the Spanish side have not yet received any offers.
Perez told Onda Cero as quoted by Metro: “I have not talked to [PSG chairman] Nasser [Al-Khelaifi] or anyone else, nor have we received offers for [Ronaldo], Morata or James.
“And neither have we made any offers for anyone. There are no figures. The only possibility is to continue with the players we have. And if we do something, it will be punctual.”
Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer but have thus far only secured the signature of defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica.
Mourinho is preparing his team for a return to the Champions League next season after the Red Devils won the Europa League in his first campaign in charge at Old Trafford.
